Leshan Giant Buddha, the largest stone sculpture of Buddha in the world, sits at the confluence of the Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers. According to records, the carving of this giant Buddha was begun in the first year of the reign of the Tang Emperor Xuanzong (713 AD), and completed in the 19th year of Emperor Dezong (803 AD).
Mt. Emei stands at 3099 meters (10,167 feet), and is associated with Puxian Bodhisattva (Samantabhadra) - a representation of 'Great Practice' and 'Great Virtue'. Ever since Buddhism arrived in China, it has been an important center of refuge, and the mountain contains more than one hundred temples and monasteries. The mountain is a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Itinerary

Day1:Chengdu-Leshan-Mt.Emei
About 07:30 am, Start from Chengdu by bus in the morning, Then drive to Leshan，On the way you can see the beautiful rural scene of Chuanxi Plain. (It is approximately 160km in the southwest of Chengdu. The drive takes about 2 hours distance on the expressway) ，
Visit Leshan Giant Buddha. You are taken to Leshan Port and board a boat cruising near the highest Buddha in the world on the huge rock of the hill carved in Tang Dynasty for suppressing the flood. you are able to take some pictures in front of the huge sculpture. Then cruise back to the port.
After lunch, Drive to Mt Emei.
Visit Mt Emei, then you can take the cable car (65CNY on your own) to Wannian monastery(CNY10 on your own), Qingying pavilion, a strip skyline, enjoy the beauty of E`mei mountain, and monkey mountain, enjoying the pleasure of the coexistence of man and monkey. etc, walk down hill to WuxianGang(五显岗). Driver Pick-UP to hotel . Dining at the hotel. Overnight at Mt.Emei

Day2:Full day Emei tour
About 07:30 am, morning change to the sightseeing bus and drive to Leidongpin,Go to Golden Summit by cable car(120CNY at your own expense), sightseeing the Golden summit and enjoy the cloud sea , Have lunch.
Take Sightseeing bus down to Baoguo Temple Parking, Then return to Chengdu, Finish the tour
