The conference was co-sponsored by the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), and the Macao SAR Government, and undertaken by Chengdu Municipal Government.

The event, aimed at furthering mutual understanding and win-win cooperation, saw the attendance of 13 delegations from 12 China's neighboring countries. They had a face-to-face exchange with representatives from relevant government departments of Chengdu.

The heads of the foreign delegations expounded on the resources, industries, investment projects as well as cooperation fields in their home cities (provinces or countries). They expressed a strong hope for stronger partnership with Chengdu in all aspects.

Mr. Esenkul Momunkulov, Director of the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic:

Chengdu, known as the Land of Abundance, performs remarkably in improving its livability, which I believe contributes a lot to its rapid economic and social development.

Mr. Santiphab Phomvihane, Governor of Savannakhet Province of the People's Democratic Republic of Laos:

We are glad to learn from Chengdu's experience of comprehensive development, and look forward to furthering the relationship with Chengdu in more fields in the future.

Mr. Justin Wayne Tkatchenko, Minister for Lands and Physical Planning of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea:

During the visit, I saw Chengdu's tremendous achievements, and great potential for the cooperation between my home nation and Chengdu, especially in tourism.

Mr. Vũ Hồng Bắc, Governor of Thái Nguyêni Province of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam:

I hope the rail link between Chengdu and Pingxiang, a city of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, will be open as soon as possible. It will deepen the exchange and cooperation between our two sides.

Mr. Chiri Babu Maharjan, Mayor of Patan City of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal:

Chengdu has done a good job in panda conservation. I hope that Chengdu and Nepal can strengthen the partnership in animal protection.

Mr. Muhammad Asim Khan, Mayor of Peshawar City of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan:

Peshawar is abundant in tourist resources and is developing vigorously the travel industry. I hope that there would be more people-to-people exchanges between it and Chengdu, so that the citizens from the two cities could have a better understanding of each other's cultures.
